A partially invasive laser procedure to resurface skin and treat fine lines, hyperpigmentation, large pores, and mild laxity.

The Pearl uses laser technology to resurface the skin without extended downtime. It is ideal for treating aging, rough, sun-damaged skin. The Pearl reduces sunspots and wrinkles with shorter recovery and quicker results than other laser resurfacing procedures. During a Pearl treatment, the top layer of the skin is treated with pulses of light after application of a topical anesthetic. A portion of the epidermis (skin surface) is gently removed and a natural protective dressing is formed on the skin’s surface. Most patients feel a series of brief pinches during the treatments. After three to four days, the epidermis peels revealing healthy, vibrant skin underneath. New collagen growth continues for four to six weeks post-treatment resulting in skin tightening and fine line reduction. The combination of new skin and decreased wrinkles results in a healthier, more youthful appearance. Typically, only one to two treatments are necessary to achieve results.* The Pearl can be combined with other treatments such as Genesis and IPL.

"Is your face damaged from the sun? Do you have brown spots that you get treated, but just don’t seem to ever really go away? My answer to all of that is a treatment called the Pearl.  The Pearl is one laser treatment with a downtime of about seven days. You may be thinking that that’s a long time. It is a long time, however the results are amazing! My skin is glowing and with no visible brown spots. I did not have to get any additional treatments after just one treatment of the Pearl. It usually lasts over one year for me. It is the most cost-effective treatment. The Pearl makes my skin look younger and radiant. I just love it and Dr. Carlson too!" - Anonymous
