A moderately invasive laser procedure to treat advanced signs of aging and sun damage, scarring and deep wrinkles.

CO2RE is a fractional CO2 laser that is used to treat the skin’s surface, middle, and deep dermal layers as well as perform traditional CO2 resurfacing and laser excision of lesions. Ideal candidates for CO2RE are individuals 30 years or older with advanced sun damage, age spots, deep lines, discoloration, and rough texture. It is also ideal for the treatment of acne scarring. Topical anesthetic is applied prior to the procedure to minimize discomfort. For more aggressive, high-powered treatments, a subcutaneous anesthetic, oral pain relievers and/or sedatives may be used before or during the treatment session. Immediately following the procedure expect a sunburn-like sensation, which may last several hours. The treated area becomes progressively reddened over the first one to three days and subsequently peels. A topical ointment is applied daily throughout this process, and products like cleansers, sunscreen, and makeup are avoided until exfoliation is almost complete. Post-treatment use of moisturizers and sunscreen is extremely important. The results are evident within two to four weeks of treatment and continue to progress over the subsequent three months.*
